  1. &CWH01New - Begin a new puzzle
  2. "New" clears the current puzzle and erases all clues from
  3. memory.  If you have made changes to the current puzzle, but
  4. have not saved your work, New will warn you.
  5. &CWH02Open - Retrieve a puzzle
  6. "Open" reads a puzzle file and its corresponding clue file into
  7. memory so you can edit or print an existing crossword.

  28. "Save As" is identical to "Save", except that you are given the
  29. opportunity to rename the puzzle and/or change its title.

  203. "DOS Shell" temporarily suspends Crossword Creator in memory,
  204. and presents you with the DOS command line.  To get back to
  205. Crossword Creator, type

  211. "Exit" terminates Crossword Creator and returns you to DOS.  If

  215. "Undo" allows you to reverse the effect of a recent puzzle edit
  216. action.

  218. Undo works on a line-by-line basis.  As long as you have not
  219. moved the cursor off of the edited line, your action can be
  220. undone.  Once you move to another line, however, your edit
  221. action becomes permanent.
  222. &CWH12Edit Clues - Supply clues for each word
  223. "Edit Clues" allows you to input the text of your puzzle clues.

  254. words, as the search progresses.

  273. example, B??L??S is a valid pattern.

  321.                        using the words currently present in the

  328.      Long Words First .. ON:  The robot sorts the word bank into
  329.                               descending order by word length,

  337.      Limits ....  Type the highest row and column number that

  352.                   initial placement orientation is "Down"
  353.                   (vertical).

  357. "Auto Place" presents a "confirmation" dialog whenever a
  358. potential word location is found, and the "robot" setting is
  359. OFF.  If the "robot" setting is ON, words are automatically
  360. placed at the first available intersection.

  373. "Unplace All" removes all words from the grid, and places them
  374. into the word bank.  Existing clues are not disturbed.  When
  375. used in conjunction with "Auto Place", this tool enables you to
  376. build alternate puzzle grids from the same set of words.

  378. Since the existing grid will be erased, "Unplace All" gives you
  379. a chance to save your work, if necessary, before proceeding.
  380. &CWH18Review Clues - Find missing/orphan clues
  381. "Review Clues" helps you identify and correct errors in your
  382. clue definitions by displaying the puzzle words, the text of
  383. their corresponding clues, and the index numbers.
